The scanner sweeps all Preferential Memory channels.
TAG1
: The scanner sweeps only those Preferential Memory channels with same
“first” digit of the alpha/numeric tag as the first channel on which scanning
started.
TAG2
:
The scanner sweeps only those Preferential Memory channels with same
“first” and “second” digits of the alpha/numeric tag as the first channel on
which scanning started.
BAND
: The scanner sweeps only those Preferential Memory channels which are
memorized on the same operating band as the first channel on which scan-
ning started.
PMS-X
: The scanner will sweep frequencies within the currently-selected PMS fre-
quency pair. See page 52 for details.
Note
: When an alpha-numeric “Tag” is appended to the Low sub-band limit
memory channel, the alpha-numeric “Tag” will appear while you are select-
ing the Memory Scan mode.

Release the [

] key to initiate Preferential Memory Scanning.
Only the channels which have a blinking “
” icon appended to the channel number
will be scanned.
Memory Bank Scan
When the Memory Bank feature is engaged, the scanner sweeps only memory channels in
the current Memory Bank. However, if the Memory Bank Link Scan feature is enabled,
you may sweep the memory channels in several Memory Banks which you have selected.
To enable the Memory Bank Link Scan feature:
1.
Set the radio to the Memory mode by pressing the [
V/M
(
DW
)
MT
] key, if necessary.
2.
Press the [
F/W
] key, followed by the [
BAND
(
SCN
)
BND DN
] key to recall the Memory
Bank.
3.
Rotate the
DIAL
knob to select the first Memory Bank (“
BANK 1
” ~ “
BANK24
”)
you wish to sweep using Memory Bank Link Scan.
4.
Press the [
V/M
(
DW
)
MT
] key momentarily. A small blinking “
”
icon will appear at the left of the Memory Bank number, indicat-
ing this Memory Bank will now be swept during Memory Bank
Scan.
5.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 above, to append the blinking “
” icon to any other Memory
Banks you wish to sweep.
6.
Now, press and hold in the [
BAND
(
SCN
)
BND DN
] key for one second to initiate the
Memory Bank Link Scan.
7.
To remove a Memory Bank from the Memory Bank Link Scan, repeat steps 2 and 3
above, to delete the blinking “
” icon from the Memory Bank number indication.
