Treatment preparations
In order to ensure that the device works as intended, make sure to undertake preparations prior to carrying
out a treatment.
* Make sure to perform this test before using the device for the first time.
Test the Flash on a patch of skin
1
Apply flash to an inconspicuous site near the intended treatment
site starting from level 1 in single mode.
For more information on how to apply a treatment, see “How to use each mode” (pages 17 through
22).
* Do not perform multiple tests on the same site. Always perform multiple tests by shifting the site
each time.
2
After performing the test, wait twenty-four hours before checking
your skin.
You can use the device if no abnormalities can be seen on your skin (such as redness, a blister, or
inflammation).
1
Make sure to get rid of excess hair at the site to be treated.
* A burn injury may result if excess hair is allowed to grow long or remain on the surface of the skin.
* Avoid tweezing or removing hair with wax or other such means.
Use a handheld shaver.
2
Verify that neither the lamp head nor treatment window is in an
abnormal state.
・
Make sure to clean the device if it is dirty.
Failure to comply may cause a failure or degradation of the device, a burn injury or other type of
injury, or skin problems.
See “How to clean” (page 23) for more information on how to clean the device.
Refrain from using the device when it is damaged or deformed.

Flash level setting
Use the device after setting the flash to a level at which warmth or a little heat can be felt.
Attention
●
DO NOT use the device if it is set to a level at which pain can be felt.
●
Use the device while adjusting the level.
Adjust the level since your perception will differ depending on the site where the
device is used.
●
DO NOT use the device if it is set to an unreasonably high level.
In particular, the skin of a darker-skinned person or a person who has gotten
suntanned will more easily absorb light. For such persons, failure to comply may
cause skin problems.
Treatment steps
Make sure to carry out a flash treatment after removing excess hair.
①
Shaving (using a tool other than the device; performed by the user)
→②
Flash treatment (using the device)
* If you are concerned about hot flashes of the skin, sufficiently cool down the skin by applying a cold pack
or cold towel to the site in question.
Before using
Treatment frequency
* In single mode, do not treat the same site twice or more times per day.
* Results will differ depending on the site where the device is used and the individual user.
* In roller mode, each body part should be treated no more than five minutes per day.
* If you do not perceive any results from using the device, continue to maintain the initial treatment
frequency.
* This device is not intended to be used to permanently remove hair.
Suspending the treatment may cause you to feel that the volume of unwanted hair is gradually being
restored to what it was prior to using the device.
First 2 months
Once every 2 weeks
Third and subsequent months
Once per 4 to 8 weeks
Attention
DO NOT engage in excessive use of the device.
If you wish to use the device in excess of the aforementioned frequency, make sure
to use the device while checking the condition of the skin. In addition, always
adhere to the prescribed maximum number of times the device can be used per
day.
Failure to comply may cause skin problems.
