If the generator is not to be used or is to be stored for more
than one month the following storage procedure should be
carried out. Drain all the fuel from the fuel tank (refer to
page 18) and the carburettor (see below), ensure that all the
fuel has been drained.
Remove the spark plug and pour approximately one
tablespoon full of clean engine oil into the spark plug hole.
With the ignition turned OFF gently pull on the recoil starter
cord several times. Re-fit the spark plug and continue to pull
the recoil starter cord until the piston is on the compression
stroke (when resistance is felt) then stop pulling.
Store the generator in a dry well ventilated place under a
cover to prevent any dust or debris from accumulating on
the generator.
1. Remove access panel screws (2pcs) and then remove
panel, note it is clipped in at the bottom
2. Place a fuel safe container under the fuel drain
tube, Pic. 15.
3. Loosen the carburettor drain screw and allow fuel to
drain out.
4. Once fuel has drained, secure screw.
5. Discard the old fuel responsibly.
6. Fit access panel at the bottom then position at top and
secure with screws (2pcs).
1. Remove fuel tank cap.
2. Remove the fuel tank filter.
3. Position a fuel safe container next to the generator.
4. Lift and rotate the generator to drain the fuel tank.
5. Once tank is empty place generator on its feet, wipe up
any spills.
6. Replace fuel tank cap.
7. Dispose of fuel in an environmentally responsible manner,
check your local council for disposal locations.
