7. ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION
SWITCH TRIGGER
Caution!
Before inserting the battery into the device, always check that the main switch
(

) works properly and after depressing and releasing it returns to the "off" position freely.
To start the device, depress and hold the switch
trigger (
5
). Release the main switch to turn the
device off. If you are going to sand a larger area of
the workpiece for a longer period of time, you can
use the lock-on button (
4
) that locks the switch
trigger in the "on" position. Then, it is not
necessary to keep the main switch depressed and
the device can be gripped comfortably with your
whole hand.
If the battery is connected to a device with the lock-on switch in the active position, the device
will not start. To start the device, first press the switch trigger and then press it once more.
TIP!
•
Do not use the lock-on switch if you want to start the sander only for a few seconds. For
these purposes, it is better to use the switch trigger in the standard way.
•
To
lock
the switch trigger, press the lock-on button (
4
), then start the device with the
switch trigger. To
release
the lock, simply press and release the main switch again.
•
Do not press the switch trigger (
5
) with force without first pressing the lock-on switch (
4
).
The switch may get damaged.
SPEED ADJUSTMENT
The sander offers simple speed control with a speed adjustment
dial (

). You can select between positions 1-6 by turning the
switch
left
and
right
. Select position
1
for the lowest speed, on
the other hand, select position
6
to set the highest speed value.
Set the speed dial to the speed value that best suits the given type of operation. For more
information on the relationship between the numeric value on the dial and the actual operating
speed, refer to the table below:
