Menu “Recovery options”
: All about fixing problems.
We hope you will never have to use any of the “Recovery” features. However, if you find
your Land Rover in such a “complicated” situation, check how the recovery features may
help you.
1.
The
ABS Recovery
feature
When the ABS Sensor failure occurs in the Discovery 3/4/RRS,
vehicle drop approximately 50mm to “safe height” – air spring
are deflated almost to bump stops. If this happens in remote,
isolated off road area, and you have no means to fix the ABS
sensor, you can activate the “ABS Recovery” to re-lift the vehicle.
Extra 50mm lift is added to all Xlifter functions.
To deactivate ABS recovery, go to the same menu and select
“Deactivate”
Important:
Never activate ABS recovery under normal
circumstances. Use function ONLY WHEN ABS FAILURE
OCCURS!
Function does not fix the ABS sensor in any way,
nor extend total available lift! It only re-lifts the vehicle.
Use
this only as a temporary mean solution to get to nearest service!!!
2.
The
Suspension lock
feature
Intended use: tire change while using Air Jack.
The suspension lock will freeze wheel height signals at the
current height.
This is a bad idea under normal circumstances, but there are
exceptions. For example, when changing the tire, while engine
is running - needed usually when jacking the vehicle using an
inflatable air jack. In such a case, normally the vehicle will try to
adjust other wheels to rebalance. Sometimes extended mode is
engaged. Locking the suspension prevents that – the vehicle
will think wheels are in the same height despite jacking it up.
To exit the Suspension lock, press the
button.
Important:
Never activate Suspension lock when driving!!!
Before activating, make sure the vehicle height is stable, it
is not raising/lowering, and the compressor is not running.
When active, do not change height with original LR height
control. All cases above will activate vehicle “extended mode”.
