Limiting Access to Copying

The Copy Lock options limit access to copying by requiring a password to use the Copy function or to

make color copies. You can also turn off copying.

To set the copy lock:
1.

At the printer control panel, press the

Machine Status

button.

Touch the

Tools

tab.

Touch

Admin Settings

If prompted, enter the four-digit password, then touch

Touch

Secure Settings

Touch

Service Lock

Note:

Enable Panel Lock before setting the service locks. For more information, see Configuring

Secure Settings.

Touch a copy, email, fax, or scan option.

Touch an option:

Enabled

turns off the service lock.

−

Password Locked

requires a password to use the copy function. Enter a new password, then

touch

Disabled

turns on the service lock, and turns off the copy function.

If prompted, enter the four-digit PIN, then touch
