On this printer, there is no black toner cartridge. The printer has white, cyan, magenta, and yellow
toner cartridges. When you print on colored stock, a white underlay maintains color vibrancy. White
toner allows you to place a white base under cyan, magenta, and yellow toners. To print black, a
composite black is produced using cyan, magenta, and yellow. For these reasons, you need to
evaluate and adjust for print quality differently than when you print with black toner.
When you troubleshoot print quality, determine if the problem is caused by the printer, or caused by
