SNMP communication fault.
Explanation: IPS Gateway was not able to communicate with the printer SNMP services.
System response: IPS Gateway disables UI functions on the Media Setup tab.
User action: Ensure that the printer SNMP services are licensed and active and that
DocuSP is active.
Unable to establish socket gateway connection to printer.
Explanation: IPS Gateway could not connect to the printer using the socket gateway
information provided in the IPDS Setup tab.
System response: IPS Gateway reattempts to make a socket gateway connection using the
information in the IPDS Setup tab.
User action: Ensure that the socket gateway is correctly defined and active on the printer.
Job in progress error: Unable to initiate socket gateway connection.
Explanation: IPS Gateway could not establish a socket gateway connection for the
IPDS job in progress.
System response: IPS Gateway reattempts to make a socket gateway connection using the
information in the IPDS Setup tab.
User action: Ensure that the socket gateway is correctly defined and active on the printer.
Media mismatch detected. Check Media Setup tab.
Explanation: IPS Gateway detected that an IPDS tray is using a media definition that
either no longer exists or is no longer loaded on the printer.
System response: The IPS Gateway Media Setup tab highlights (in red) each row of IPDS
trays using an invalid media definition.
User action: Correct and save the IPDS tray mappings to prevent jobs from becoming
ineligible.
IPDS configuration change(s) detected. Reset IPDS is required.
Explanation: IPS Gateway detected changes that require an IPDS reset.
System response: IPDS processing continues. Any configuration changes made do not take
effect until IPDS is reset.
User action: Select Reset IPDS from the IPS Gateway System menu for the changes
to take effect.
