Clearing jams in tray 1, 2, or 3

CAUTION

The feed heads and the feed rolls are delicate and can be 
damaged if this procedure is not followed precisely.

To clear a jam in tray 1, 2, or 3:

1. Clear jams in the left side door. Refer to the section “Clearing 

jams in the left side door” in this chapter.

2. Open tray 1.

3. Carefully remove all jammed paper.

4. Close tray 1.

5. Open tray 2.

6. Carefully remove all jammed paper.
