Power Options
Powering On the Printer
The Power On/Off button is a single multifunction button on the control panel. The power cable socket
is located at the rear of the printer.
1.
Connect the AC power cord to the printer and a power
outlet. The power cord must be plugged into a grounded
power socket.
2.
Press the
Power On/Off
button on the control panel.
The printer powers on.
Power Saver Mode
This device contains advanced energy conservation technology that reduces power consumption when
it is not in active use. When the printer does not receive data for an extended period of time, the Power
Saver mode becomes active and power consumption is automatically lowered.
To enter Power Saver mode:
1.
Press the
Power Saver
button.
2.
Use the
Up/Down
arrow buttons to select
Power Saver
, then press
OK
.
Powering Off the Printer
There are two ways to power off the printer:
•
Press the
Power On/Off
button.
•
Press the
Power Saver
button. Use the
Up/Down
arrow buttons to select
Power Down
, then press
OK
.
CAUTION:
Do not unplug the power cord while the printer powers down.
