To install the software:
■
Double-click the “Installer” icon to launch the
Installer
.
■
Click “Continue”.
■
Click “Accept” to accept the license agreement.
■
Click “Install” to begin the installation process. The installer will load the Phaser 8400 PPD into the
correct directory.
■
Click “Quit” after the installation has completed.

To launch
Print Center
:
■
Double-click the hard drive.
■
Select
Applications...Utilities...Print Center
.
6.
To select the PPD:
■
On
Print Center
, click the ADD icon.
■
Use the pull-down menu to select USB.
■
Select the printer from the
Product
section (there may only be one).
■
Select “Xerox” from the
Printer Model
field and then select the correct Xerox printer model (this
selection configures the printer with the correct PPD file).
■
Click the “Add” button.
■
Close the
Print Center
.
7.
To test the connection:
■
Select
Applications...TextEdit
to launch the TextEdit application.
■
Type a short text message.
■
Select
File...Print
.
■
Select the Phaser 8400 printer.
■
Click the “Print” button to send the job.
