If the threshold is set too low, motion on the outside of the sensing network may trigger a motion
detection. If the threshold is set too high, motion may not be detected when motion occurs within the area
of interest. Adjusting the threshold appropriately is critical to a successful installation.
To program the threshold:
1. Click S1 on the PU one time.
2. Click S2 on the PU one time to confirm you want to set the threshold.
3. Verify that only the right green LEDs is illuminated.
4. Click S1 N times, where N is the desired threshold.
5. Click S2 one time to confirm.
How to change the channel (center frequency)
The frequency channel of each node and processing unit can be changed, but all nodes and processing
units in the sensing network must be set to the same channel. See Table 3 for channel center frequencies.
To change the channel for each node and PU:
1. Click S1 two times.
2. Click S2 one time to confirm you want to change the Channel.
3. Verify that only the orange LED is illuminated.
4. Click S1 N times, where N is the channel you wish to change to. Valid Channels are from 111.
5. Click S2 one time to confirm the new setting.
6. Repeat steps 15 for all nodes and PUs.
Channel 1 begins at frequency 2.479 GHz and moves toward lower frequencies in 5MHz steps at each
channel.
