6. STARTING THE GENERATOR
6.1. AUTOMATIC RECOIL STARTER MODEL
Before starting the generator, make sure to remove all the electric devices which can be connected by
disconnecting the plugs.
1. Turn the fuel valve to “ ON ” (
I
) position. (FIG. 02)
2. Set the AC breaker lever in the “ ON ” (
I
) position. (FIG. 08 et 10)
3. Set the choke lever to the CHOKE position. (FIG. 04)
NOTE
Stay on the choke knob position as long as engine is not warm. The shock function isn’t necessary to
start a “warm” engine. So in order to start a warm engine put the 3 positions switch knob to the “ON”
position.
4. Set the ignition switch to the “ ON ” (
I
) position. (FIG. 07)
5. Pull the starter handle slowly until resistance is felt. This is the «compression» point. Return the
handle to its original position and then pull swiftly. (FIG. 01)

Do not fully pull out the rope.

After starting, allow the starter handle to return to its original position while still holding the
handle.
6. Warm up the engine without a load for few minutes.
7. Set the choke lever to the RUN position. (FIG. 05)
6.2. USING ELECTRIC POWER
AC APPLICATION
This generator is thoroughly tested and adjusted in the factory. If the generator does not produce the
specified voltage, consult your nearest Worms dealer or service shop.
Turn off the switch of the electrical appliance(s) before connecting to the generator.
Insert the plug of the electrical appliance into the receptacle. (FIG. 23)
Be sure to ground the generator if the connected electrical device is grounded.
Failure to ground unit could lead to electrical shock.

Check the amperage of the receptacles, and be sure not to take a current exceeding the specified
amperage.
