Beet-Apple-Tangerine Juice
Makes 1 1/2 - 2 cups
INGREDIENTS
1 fresh beet, cut into wedges
1 tangerine, peeled and broken into segments
2 Fuji apples, cut into thin wedges
METHOD
1.
Set up Juice Press with juice strainer.
2.
Slowly add ingredients through feed tube to dispense juice.
VARIATION
Add a strip of the tangerine peel and a small handful of fresh mint
leaves for a fresh taste.
Carrot Ginger Soup
Makes 4 servings
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds carrots, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 orange, peeled and cut into thin wedges
1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced thinly
1 small yellow onion, cut into thin wedges
1 tablespoon powdered chicken bouillon
2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons chives, chopped, for garnish
METHOD
1.
Set up Juice Press with juice strainer.
2.
Slowly add carrot, orange, ginger and onion through feed tube.
3.
Pour juice into a pot set over medium-high heat.
4.
Simmer soup for 30 minutes.
5.
Add remaining ingredients and stir well to combine.
6.
Serve immediately and garnish with chives and honey.
