Flue gas damper power supply
- Isolate the system from the power supply before opening.
- Check that appliance is isolated from the power supply.
- Open the front casing and the cover of the control unit.
- Strip approx. 70 mm off the connecting cable of the flue gas
damper motor and signal contact.
- Lay connecting cable from the flue gas damper motor to the
screwless terminals, pushing it through the strain relief on the right-
hand side of the boiler, and connect it to programmable output A1.
- Lay connecting cable from the limit switch to the screwless
terminals, pushing it through the strain relief on the right-hand side
of the boiler, and connect it to programmable input E1.
- Close cover of control unit.

Note:
The contractor parameter
HG13 (input 1) must be set to
Fl gas damp
and
HG14 (output 1) must be set to
Fl gas
damp
.
When the limit switch is open, the burner is
blocked both for DHW and central heating and
for emissions test and frost protection.

NB.
Flue gas damper limit switch must
be potential-free.
Otherwise the MGK-2 control unit
will be destroyed.
Damper function test
f
Start the boiler.
f
Visual check to ensure damper is open.
f
Unplug E1 for 2 minutes during operation.
Boiler must lockout with error code 8, with the fan continuing to run at low speed. Fault code 44 “Flu gas prssr
swtch” may also appear.
f
Reconnect E1.
f
Acknowledge fault message.
f
Visual check to ensure flue gas damper is closed.
During commissioning and as part of the annual heating appliance test, the cascade damper in overpressure
heating appliance systems must be tested for tightness to ensure no CO

can escape into the installation
room.
