4.8 Timed Light Switch and Toggle Switch
Chapter 4: Removal, Replacement, and Adjustment Procedures
5. Remove the wire nut (B) from the timed light switch ground wire.
6. Using the phillips head screwdriver, remove the two toggle switch
mounting screws (A).
7. Pull the toggle switch (E) away from the raceway (G).
8. Using the screwdriver, loosen the screws holding the toggle switch wires
(F) and timed light switch wire (H).
9. Remove the wires from the toggle switch (E).
Replacement
1. Connect the power supply wires (F) to the toggle switch screws.
2. Tighten the screws.
3. Connect the timed light switch wire (H) to the toggle switch screw.
4. Tighten the screw.
5. Insert the toggle switch (E) in the raceway (G), and align the screw holes.
6. Install and tighten the two toggle switch mounting screws (A).
7. Connect the timed light switch ground wire with the wire nut (B).
8. Install the timed light switch (C) with mounting screws (D) in the raceway
(G).
9. Tighten the screws (D).
10. Remove the lock out and out-of-service tags.
11. Set the circuit breaker back to the ON position.
12. Test the timed light switch (C) and toggle switch (E) to ensure it is
operational.
Adjustment
NOTE:
The timed light switch is adjustable from 10 minutes to 12 hours.
1. Remove the screws (D) and timed light switch (C).
