Chapter 1: Introduction
The flexibility of the Integris® 2001 Headwall System is the solution to
changes in patient acuity levels, hospital occupancy rate, and technology. This
flexibility is demonstrated in the ability of the Integris® 2001 Headwall
System to quickly add or relocate ancillary equipment on the accessory tracks.
The Integris® 2001 Headwall System eliminates the cluttered look of current
headwalls and offers a clean, contemporary environment. The unit can accept
new equipment that may not have been planned for and provides physical
support of secondary equipment, brackets, shelves, and other patient headwall­
related items.
The Integris® 2001 Headwall System consists of a console raceway for
delivery of power and gas services from the wall. The raceway carries power
lines and supports auxiliary equipment. The area under the raceway contains
the piping for medical gases.

• Normal power service

• Multiple gas outlets
• Reduced clutter around the bed and placement of equipment at convenient
working levels for the staff
• Variable total length to meet requirements of larger open areas

level of care
• Adaptability for new services without the need to break into walls or
reconstruct the room
