Console and Chase Theory
Console Raceway
When not equipped with the optional vertical service chase, the Integris® 2001
Headwall System is supplied with standard power, emergency power, and
communications from electrical boxes mounted in the wall. Medical gases are
supplied directly from the wall into the console raceway.
Vertical Service Chase
If the optional vertical chase is used, electrical power, communications, and
medical gases are supplied through the raceway from the ceiling to the
Integris® 2001 Headwall System console raceway. The chase may be mounted
on the right or left end of the Integris® 2001 Headwall System.
Circuit Protection
Standard circuit protection is through the building circuit breaker panel.
Communications
Communications, consisting of code blue, nurse call, and telephone, are
supplied by low voltage wiring through the raceway.
Medical Gases
Medical gases are supplied from the building facilities through copper tubing.
Oxygen and air use ½" (12.7 mm) inside diameter tubing, and vacuum uses
¾" (19.1 mm) inside diameter.
