8.3 Structure (see also Figure 8.3.1 and 8.3.2)
Canister heaters consist of an outer jacket (1) made of water-repellent polyester fabric. On the inside pockets (4), the
fluoropolymer insulated heating element is installed. A double thermal insulation made of polyester fleece is sewn
inside. The canister heaters have a fleece pad next to the cable outlet (5), to which the temperature controller is at-
tached. In addition to the Pt100 sensors, a bimetal monitor is also installed to prevent uncontrolled heating in the
event of a technical defect in the sensors or controller. The canister heater is connected to the power supply via a
3.0 m long connection cable of the temperature controller.
