Installing Drives in the Default HDD Bays
Hard drives in the eight default HDD bays are mounted in drive carriers to simplify their
installation and removal. These carriers also help promote proper airflow for the drive bays.
Installing Hard Drives
1. Press the release button to extend the drive carrier handle.
2. Using the handle, pull the drive carrier out by the handle. The drive is hot-swappable;
there are no cables to disconnect (Figure 3-9).
