2.10.4.1 Masonry feed-through
The changeover unit should be attached with the brass dowels provided. If it cannot be securely attached in the
masonry with the brass dowels, a
fire-protection tested injection system
must be used to attach the changeover
unit.

Make a feed-through hole approx. 8.66 in / 220 mm in diameter for the changeover unit (Fig. 85).

2.10.4 Notes on installing the changeover unit
Some states/cities may require a fire stop between the bulk wood pellet hopper (main wood pellet storage) and
the room where the appliance is installed (mechanical room). If your state/city requires this, follow your local
building codes to install a proper fire stop. The changover unit is not a fire stop and does not fulfill the require-
ments of a fire stop to separate different fire zones.
