Lack of water detection
by switch: ON/OFF
The function can be switched ON and OFF
If the function is switched ON, the following additional settings appear in the Menu:
Lack of water detection by sensor: limit
-> The pressure limit used as detection threshold.
Lack of water detection: activation delay
-> The delay time is configured in seconds.
Lack of water detection: deactivation delay
-> The delay time is configured in seconds.
NOTICE
The function requires an external relative or absolute pressure sensor con-
nected on pumps suction side. The pressure sensor has to be connected to
the terminals AI 2. The AI 2 analog input must be configured accordingly.
11.3.2
Lack of water detection by binary
input
The function lack of water detection by switch is usually used with a break tank and a
mechanical level switch (seldom with a pressure switch). With low water level in the break
tank the level switch opens a wire circuit. The pump detects this opening by circuit connec-
tion to the digital binary input.
The motor is switched off while the binary input is opened for a user configurable time in-
tervall. If the binary input is closed for a user configurable time intervall, the motor will
start. If the pump is stopped via the function an error will be indicated on the HMI.
NOTICE
The menu item “Lack of water detection” is only available for the control
modes p-c, PID and n-const.
