PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

GENERAL

The  Series  5    is  a  5 Wire  End  of  Line  Multi switch  range. A  large  number  of

Multi switches  can  be  confi gured  to  create  large  IRS  systems  when  used  in

conjuncti on with Launch Amplifi ers, Taps and Splitt ers from the Whyte Series

5 range.

The Multi switches have been designed for ease of installati on. The subscriber

ports are orientated single fi le and the switch has adequate stand-off  to provide

fi nger space for easy terminati on and servicing.

GAIN

The Series 5 range of Multi switches provide a gain of 10dB for SAT and 9dB for

TERR. All inputs come fi tt ed with an individual Gain Control.

4G & 5G FILTERING

The range comes fi tt ed with high rejecti on 4G/5G fi lters that are selectable via a

switch. The correct fi lter should be selected depending on the LTE transmissions

present within the installati on area. 5G fi ltering can be selected for use in 4G

areas  where  terrestrial  channels  above  Ch48  are  not  used.  This  will  provide

ultra high rejecti on of 4G interference as well as providing future proofi ng for

eventual 5G transmissions.

DC POWERING

The  Series  5  range  are  Line  Powered  via  the  HL  and  HH  input  ports.  The

Multi switches come fi tt ed with a DC Input which enables the Multi switch to

be used in Standalone Mode when fi tt ed with a Whyte PSU. This will power the

Multi switch as well as provide voltage to the HL & HH input ports to power an

LNB and any other connected Whyte Line Powered Multi switches or Amplifi ers.

An Auxiliary DC Output is also provided. This can be used to power additi onal

devices for example, Add On Multi switches or non line powered Amplifi ers and
