Disconnect the electrical power to the
microwave oven.

Disconnect the wire connectors from the
filament terminals.

Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.

4 . Touch the ohmmeter leads to the filament

terminals. The meter should indicate less
than 1

Ω

Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1K scale.

Touch one ohmmeter lead to the magne-
tron case. Touch the other lead to each of
the filament terminals. The meter should
indicate infinity at both terminals.
