Refer to page 3-11 for the procedure for servic-
ing the high voltage transformer.
1. Disconnect the electrical power to the
microwave oven.
2. Disconnect the high voltage transformer
wires from the magnetron and high volt-
age capacitor terminals.
3. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.
4. Touch the ohmmeter leads to the two
primary terminals. The meter should indi-
cate less than 1
Ω
.
5. Touch one ohmmeter lead to the white
secondary wire terminal and the other
lead to the transformer chassis ground
lug. The meter should indicate between
65 and 120
Ω
.
6. Touch the ohmmeter leads to the two red-
black filament terminals. The meter should
indicate 0
Ω
.
7. Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1K scale.
8. Touch one ohmmeter lead to the trans-
former chassis ground lug. Touch the other
lead to each of the filament terminals. The
meter should indicate infinity at both termi-
nals.
