Start-Up and Operation
The unit will work on wallpaper, but not on metallised wall coverings
or walling materials reinforced with metal.
For precise localisation, take several measurements and if
necessary, mark outlines to link your results. Please keep in mind
that metallic objects in the wall, e. g. nails, may influence the results.
Use the metal- and voltage detector function to make sure you have
actually located a stud and not a wire or pipe.
Metal Detector
1. Slide the selecting switch (9) to “Metall”.
2. Make sure no metallic objects are close to the unit and switch on
the detector by turning the sensitivity setting wheel (8).
3. A short beep can be heard and the green LED (3) lights up. Turn
the sensitivity setting wheel furthermore, until the beep sounds
continuously and the LED remains on.
4. Turn the sensitivity setting wheel slowly back until the sound
becomes silent and the LED turns off.
5. Hold the unit vertically and
move it slowly along the area to
be detected.
6. If a metal object is detected, a
beep can be heard and the
green LED lights up. To
precisely detect the location of
the object, turn the sensitivity
setting wheel slowly back, until
you can exactly locate the metal
object.
Please Notice!
The detecting surface (1) for metal and voltage is placed on the
upper side of the unit.
