Operation
Then push the gas volume control switch (9) forward to the position 4, in
order to increase gas volume and ignite the flame again.
Using the Folding Stand
If you need both hands for work, flap out the folding stand (7) and allow the
gas soldering iron to stand on a level surface.
To avoid wastage of gas, switch off the gas soldering iron if your stop working
for long time.
After Work
1. Melt some solder and cover the tip with it. The solder protects the
soldering tip from corrosion while it is not in use. Clean off excess solder
with a moistened sponge after next heating.
2. Push the ON/OFF switch in direction OFF to switch off the unit and turn
the gas volume control switch to the setting 1.
3. Before storing, changing the soldering attachment or soldering tip, let the
gas soldering iron cool down.
Changing the Soldering Tip
1. Ensure that the soldering attachment, soldering tip or gas soldering iron
have cooled down to room temperature before changing any tools.
2. For changing the soldering tip, screw the tip off the soldering attachment
by turning clockwise. Fasten the new soldering tip by turning counter
clockwise as far as it goes. Do not use any tool, hand-screwed is enough.
Using as Hot Blower
Use the gas soldering iron as a hot blower for hart
soldering and for gold and silver plating.
1. Make sure the gas soldering iron is switch off. The
ON/OFF switch (8) has to be in position OFF.
2. Push the gas volume control switch (9) forward to the
setting 1 – 2.
3. Use a lighter or a similar device to ignite the gas
soldering iron without soldering attachment.
4. Turn the gas volume control switch (9) to the setting 4,
so the flame is bigger.
