Operation
Before first Use
Remove the unit out of the packaging and check for damage in transit. Do not
use a damaged unit.
Do not leave packaging materials lying around; plastic bags may become a
deadly toy for small children.
Hints
The gas soldering iron is an all-purpose tool. Use it as a cordless
soldering iron, as flambé and as a hot air device for heat shrinking.
For safety reasons the gas soldering iron is delivered without gas. To fill in
the gas soldering iron, please take commercial pressurised butane can.
Notice: Never screw the gas valve on the underside of the device. There
is high risk of injury!
Do not exceed the max. continuous operating time of 30 minutes. Allow
the device to cool down before using it again.
Filling the Tank
Use only commercial pressured butane can for filling. Shake the pressurized
can a few times before filling the gas soldering iron.
1. Make sure the gas soldering iron is switched off.
The ON/OFF switch (8) has to be in position OFF.
2. Hold the gas soldering iron on the bottom with one
hand. The filling valve (11) is now facing upwards.
3. Attach the correct reducing piece on the valve and
press the can onto the valve. For better air bleed-
ing from inside of the tank, please pump some times.
4. Wait some minutes before using the gas soldering iron. According to the
changing temperature and pressure ratio the gas has to stabilise.
Using with Soldering Attachment
1. Attach the soldering attachment (2) on the gas soldering iron and turn the
knurled screw (6) counter clockwise. Turn the gas volume control switch
(9) to the setting 4.
2. Push forward the soldering attachment with your thumb. Only touch the
knurled screw with your thumb.
