5. Now close the soft-touch element again and slide it forward into position.
Note: the can opener will not work if the cover is not fully closed or the front element,
around the cutting wheel, is not properly positioned.
6. Recommendation: if you are not going to use the unit for a longer period of time, please
remove the batteries.
Troubleshooting:
1. If the can opener slows down during the cutting process, this could be due to insufficient
battery voltage. In this case, please replace the batteries.
2. A deformed can rim can also cause the can opener to stop working. In this case, please
press the small black pin (see illustration) which makes the opener run backwards.
Keep the pin pressed until the can opener stops. Then you can re-apply it again at a new
position.
Note: the can opener will not work on rimless cans or if the cans have unusual corners.
