Smart Auto-Learn
(Default Recirculation Mode)
When set in Smart Auto-Learn Mode, the pump will run in Pulse Mode for the first
seven (7) days. During this period the water heater will monitor and record hot water
usage patterns. After the initial seven (7) day learning period, the water heater will use
the preceding week’s usage pattern to cycle the pump and preheat the water.
Recirculation Mode Program 1
(adjustable with default pre-set time)
Pro1 is used to set customized water recirculation. Day and Time can be
programmed. Default: 4-9:30 AM, 16-21:30 PM
Recirculation Mode Program 2
(adjustable with default pre-set time)
Pro2 is used to set customized water recirculation. Day and Time can be
programmed. Default: 06-7:30AM, 18-19:30 PM

User Custom Settings
Pulse Mode
In Pulse Mode, the pump runs for a set time at the beginning of every hour to
internally or externally maintain hot water temperature on selected days. The burner
will turn on during this period if the heat exchanger water temperature drops below the
Recirculation Differential Temperature (

).
Range: 1
– 60 minutes, Default: 10 minutes.

1. Smart Auto-Learn Recirculation Mode
a. Enter Status Display Mode by pressing and holding button B
for five seconds at Standby Mode.
b. Turn the dial button to the N:TS screen. Press the
button to open the Recirculation Mode functions.
c. Press the
button at the “Auto” screen to select Smart Auto-Learn Recirculation Mode. See Figure 44.
d. The water heater is now in Smart Auto-Learn Recirculation Mode.

2. Pro1, Pro2, Pro3, and PULS Recirculation Modes
a. Enter Status Display Mode by pressing and holding button B
for five seconds at Standby Mode.
b. Turn the dial button to the N:TS screen. Press the
button to open the Recirculation Mode functions.
c. Turn the dial button at the
“Pro1”, “Pro2”, “Pro3”, or “PULS” screens to select a Recirculation Mode. See Figure 45 A. Press the
button to select the mode.
d. Press the
button to enter the day setting. See Figure 45 B.
