G. RECIRCULATION MODES
The following section details the various Recirculation Mode functions.
NOTE:
When Recirculation Mode is active and there is no hot water demand, DHW temperature is limited to 125
o
F (51
o
C). This is
intended to decrease the risk of scalding. The water heater will heat water to temperatures greater than 125
o
F (51
o
C) if the DHW set-
point is higher than 125
o
F (51
o
C) and there is a demand for hot water.
Hotter water increases the risk of scald injury. Scalding may occur within 5 seconds at a setting of 140
o
F (60
o
C). Water temperature
over 125
o
F can instantly cause severe burns, or death, from scalds. Children, disabled, and elderly are at the highest risk of being
scalded. See instruction manual before setting temperature at appliance. Feel water before bathing or showering!
NOTE:
In all Recirculation Modes but Pulse Mode: When Recirculation Mode is operational and the burner turns off, the pump will
continue to run for seven (7) minutes and stop for three (3) minutes. This cycle will repeat until the burner turns on or the recirculation
timer ends.
