Maintenance on the Motor Unit
Air Cleaner
1. Open the air filter cover (20) by turning the wing nut counter clockwise
and remove the cover.
2. Remove the filter element and brush away adherent sawdust.
3. If the filter is clogged, wash it in petrol. When using compressed air, blow
the filter out from the inside. Lightly oil the filter after cleaning. If possible
use dedicated air filter oil, If you use engine oil the filter should be cleaned
more frequently.
4. Reattach the air filter cover and secure it with the wing nut.
Spark Plug
An incorrectly adjusted carburettor, wrong oil and fuel mixture or a dirty air
filter may cause deposits on the spark plug electrodes. This may result in
starting difficulties or operating problems.
1. Clean the electrodes with a wire brush
and reset the gap to approx. 0.65 mm
as necessary.
2. Fasten the spark plug hand-tight.
3. Always use the correct spark plug type.
The use of wrong spark plugs can
damage the piston and the cylinder.
Adjusting the Carburettor
The carburettor has been adjusted by the manufacturer. If resetting the unit is
necessary, have it performed by a skilled expert, incorrect adjustment may
lead to damage on the unit.
