Preparation and Use
Starting the Engine
1. Pump the primer bulb (23) repeatedly until the bulb is filled with fuel mix.
2. Pull the start/stop switch (17) to the rear position.
3. Place the unit on the ground and hold it firmly.
4. Use the choke (21) when starting a cold engine. The choke is active with
the choke lever in the upper position.
5. Pull the starter handle (22) vigorously several times until the engine
starts. If needed, pump the primer again in order to distribute the fuel.
6. After the engine has started, open the choke. Push the choke handle to
the lower position.
7. Allow the engine to warm up at idle speed.
8. The engine is equipped with a throttle lock. Always push the throttle (15)
and the throttle lock (16) simultaneously.
NOTICE: The choke is not needed for starting a hot engine, e.g. shortly after
the engine has been shut down. If you needed to use the choke again,
immediately push it open again after the engine has started.
Turning Off the Engine
Release the throttle lever (15) and allow the engine to run at idling speed for a
few moments.
Push the start/stop switch (17) to the forward position.
Maintenance after each Use
ATTENTION! Before cleaning, inspecting or maintaining the motor unit, make
sure that engine is stopped and has cooled down. The engine will heat up
during use. Do not touch the exhaust. There is risk of burns!
