Preparation and Use 

Using the Strap 

You can use the included strap to 

carry the unit. The carrying strap is 

equipped with a quick release. 

Attach the strap as shown in the 

picture. 
 
 
 
 

Filling Fuel 

The engine may only be operated with a mixture of petrol (unleaded petrol with 

minimum 89 Octane) and high quality oil for air-cooled two-stroke engines. 

Only use oil with anti oxidant additive that is especially formulated for air-

cooled two-stroke engines. 
Recommended Mixing Ratio: Petrol 25 : Oil 1 
NOTICE: Incorrect fuel mixture is responsible for most incidents of damage to 

the engine. Never use oil for 4-cylinder engines. Do not mix the petrol and the 

oil directly in the fuel tank. Use a special mixing canister with indicated 

mixtures as available from Westfalia. 
Open the cap of the fuel tank (24). Pour in the mixture into the tank (8) and 

tighten the cap only hand tight. Make sure not to spill fuel and not to overfill the 

tank.
