6. Position reinforcement plate (1) in bumper
trim (2) and clip it is place using expansion
rivets (3). Refit the assembled bumper carrier
(see fig. 5) into the bumper trim (2). Refit the
entire rear bumper to the vehicle, align it and
tighten the nuts and bolts.
Tighten the nuts and bolts in the following
order:
1. Hexagon nuts with washers, towing
attachment/rear panel;
tightening torque: 55 Nm
2. M10 hexagon bolts, longitudinal struts/
luggage compartment;
tightening torque: 55 Nm
Hexagon bolts of strength class 10.9 and
hexagon nuts of strength class 10 are used.
7. Attach trailer nose-weight plate max. 75 kg
(1) to the cover plate of the luggage
compartment sill (2).
8. Attach sticker (1) with the operating
instructions in the spare-wheel well as
illustrated.
9. Put dismantled ball head in the bag.
Close the bag. Put the bag with the ball head
into the rear of the vehicle and secure.
Clean luggage compartment and reinstall all
removed parts in reverse sequence.
