Phase 1 Configuration
The Phase 1 Configuration is used to set the parameters for
the first phase of IPsec Key Exchange (IKE). The first phase
is a set-up phase in which the two hosts agree on how to
exchange further information securely.
The options for Phase 1 are:
Authentication method
Select the authentication method from the drop-down list, the
options are:
Pre-shared key •
The Pre-Shared Key (PSK) is a key value which is
entered into each host and is used for authentica-
tions.
Certificate •
A certificate is an electronic document containing
a public key and a digital signature.
