2.7 OPERATION OF THE CONTROLS

To start:
Press the start button for 1 second until the motor unit
starts. The hazard, low speed and high speed indicator
lights go out, the alarm sounds, and the motor alarm
sounds, and the motor unit briefly vibrates. The motor
unit always starts at low speed. With low speed. Press
the SELECT button to switch between button to switch
between low and high speed.
To stop:
Press the stop button for 1 second until the audible
alarm and the fan stops. The warning light is on, the
alarm is sounding and the motor unit vibrates if the
battery is low or if the airflow is reduced due to a dirty
filter, a blocked air filter or a blocked air pipe, a blocked
air hose or other problem.
The battery level indicator light shows the
remaining battery power.
Green light turns on: battery level ≥ 90%.
Yellow light turns on: 30% ≤ battery level < 90%
Red light turns on: 10% < battery level < 30%
Red light flashes: battery level ≤10%
2.8 TEST AIRFLOW
Disconnect the air hose from the welding helmet. Insert
the flow meter into the air hose. Hold the flow meter
straight up and start the motor unit. The flowmeter ball
should be above the MIN mark. If the flowmeter reads
MIN or lower, check the battery and filter elements.

Test air flow alarm.
Disconnect the breathing tube from the welding helmet,
motor unit and block the air flow by placing your hand
on the end of the air hose. If the alarm does not sound
and the motor unit does not run, check the battery and
filter element.
Check the welding helmet before use.
Check the following items before using the welding
helmet:
1. Filter p3 assembly
Check that the p3 filter is suitable for the application.
Also make sure that the filter is undamaged and firmly
connected to the motor unit.
2. Air hose
Make sure the tube is undamaged and properly
connected to the motor unit and welding helmet.
3. Battery
Check that the battery is fully charged and properly
connected to the motor unit.
4. Air flow
Test air flow according to section 2.8.
5. Air flow alarm
Switch on the motor unit and check for audible, visual
and vibration alarms.
6. Welding helmet
Inspect the welding helmet and replace it if damaged.
