Solution: Go to page 33 (Data Formatter):
Step 1.
Scan ENTER.
Step 2.
Scan XX and Yes to clear previous formats.
Step 3.
Scan II to enter Data Formatting parameters.
Scan 03 for terminal type (PC)
Scan 65 for Code I 2 of 5 Symbology (see the Symbology chart on
page 15).
Scan 06 for fixed length code.
Step 4.
Scan your format parameters (scan each character in order):
F2 05 0B F4 09 01 FF
Why:
F2 05 0B: F2 sends XX number of characters followed by a
function code. Sends the first five characters of the label
followed by a vertical tab. (Hex 0B)
F4 09 01: Appends one hex 09 (a horizontal tab) at the end of the
label.
FF:
Termination character for end of format.
Step 5.
Scan EXIT END PROGRAMMING.

DATA FORMATTER
Scenario: You need to read a 6–digit bar code printed in Interleaved 2 of 5.
Only the first five digits of the code will be transmitted. You want the
transmitted code terminated with a vertical tab and a horizontal tab.
