Loading
•Check federal, state, and local laws governing weight, width, and length of load.
•Before transporting machine on a trailer, read the trailer manual for safety precautions and
information. Ensure gross weight of the machine is within the gross weight limits of the trailer
and the towing vehicle.
•Place trailer on a level surface away from overhead obstacles. Chock wheels or set park brake on
tow vehicle.
•Trailer bed and ramps should be clean and free of obstacles that may interfere with loading or
unloading.
•When using ramps, ensure they are of adequate length, width, strength, slope, and are secured.
Do not exceed 15° angle.
•The operator must be familiar with the controls and their functions before loading or unloading
machine. Refer to
, before attempting to start or operate
the machine.
The most common method of shipping the transfer
vehicle is by removable goose neck (RGN) trailer. Side
extensions may be needed for transport of the machine
due to its wide wheelbase. Ensure side extensions are
sturdy enough to support machine weight.
NOTICE:
Support dump hopper with suitable blocking
or lift cylinder stops if raised to lower overall machine
height.
1.
Have a spotter on the ground direct the operator.
Spotter must stand clear of the machine and be
visible at all times.
2.
Slowly drive machine squarely onto trailer. Do not use high gear.
3.
Position machine at tie-down position for correct weight distribution as recommended by trailer
manufacturer.
WARNING
Machine may slide down loading ramps or off trailer deck. Death or
serious injury possible if struck or crushed by machine.
Do not load or unload with slippery trailer surface.
CAUTION
Platform may shift and make machine over width during transport.
Center and lock platform for transport.
