Vehicle preparation
Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions as
necessary:
• Remove the battery.
• Remove the headliner.
• Remove the overhead package tray.
• Remove the battery tray.
• Remove the driver’s seat.
• Remove the upper trim from the b- through e-pillars on the left side.
• Install the auxiliary A/C compressor.
General References
NOTE: Due to production variation, some images in this manual may not represent the vehicle you are
working on.
• Bare sheet metal, for example around drilled holes, must be treated with anti-corrosive coating.
• Secure hoses, cables and wiring harnesses with cable ties and fit protective hoses around them at chafing
points.
• Fit edge protectors (heat-sleeve, grommet, split-loom, etc.) to sharp edges as necessary.
• Some components shown in this manual may be pre-production parts and may not be representative of current
production parts.
