7 MAINTENANCE INFORMATION
1. The user is advised to refer to the Technical Data section for details on IU/OU
interconnection cables (customer-furnished).
2. The “Ordering Information” paragraph in the Technical Data section provides details on
part numbers for items that can be ordered.
3. Section 4 of this manual lists customer furnished equipment that should be used for
installing the SC5800 product.
4. There are two options to control the SC5800 product via SNMP.
a. One uses any open-standard-compliant SNMP Management package (HP
OpenView, SNMPc etc): in this case, one has access to the full compliment of
the product's MIB elements.
b. The NMS application package supplied with the product accesses a subset of
the MIB. It has a graphical user interface carefully designed to assist installation
and maintenance staff.
