P2T 2-Knife Trimmer Page 3-3 CHAPTER 3 - Prepare the BLM

Remove Covers from the BLM
Tools:
• Allen keys: 3, 4mm
• Wire cutters - supplied with the BLM. See Section 1.6.1 .
Step Action Information
1 Turn off the machine and
disconnect from the mains
power.
2 Open the folder cover. See Figure 3:1.
3 Remove the outfeed cover top. See Figure 3:1. and Figure 3:2.
The outfeed cover top is held in
position by 2 x button-head screws.
4 Remove the outfeed cover RH. See Figure 3:1.
The outfeed cover RH is held in
position by 1 x button-head screw.
When you remove the outfeed RH
cover, you can access the 900-227
stacker interface PCB.
5 Remove the outfeed cover LH. See Figure 3:1.
The outfeed cover LH is held in
position by 1 x button-head screw.
6 Remove the drive cover. See Figure 3:1. and Figure 3:2. and
Figure 3:3.
• Remove the RH top short cover.
The RH top short cover is held in
position by 2 x button-head screws.
• Remove the 2 drive-cover screws.
There is 1 drive-cover screw on
each side of the machine.
• Close the folder cover.
• Lift the drive cover approximately
15 mm.
• Disengage the drive cover from the
support brackets.
• Pull the cover toward you.
7 Left-to-Right Machines Only:
For online machines, remove
the cover assembly, link rear
from the connecting bridge.
See Figure 3:4.
• Remove the fixing screws.
• Lift the cover assembly, link rear
approximately 20 mm to disengage
the brackets on the lower edge.
• Remove the cover assembly, link
rear.
8 Right-to-Left Machines Only:
Remove the LH, bottom, large
cover.
See Section A.2 .

IMPORTANT:
Disconnect the red
and white stacker power cable
from PL4 on the 900-227
stacker interface PCB.
Do not use this cable to
connect to the P2T.
See Figure 3:5.
• Cut the cable tie to release the red
and white stacker power cable from
the stacker PCB bracket.
• Store this cable in the blue acces-
sory bag in the BLM.
10 • If an outfeed stacker is fitted
to the BLM, then disconnect
the spade terminal of the
green and yellow earth wire
from the earth tag on the
BLM. Go to
Section 3.2 .
• If an outfeed stacker is not
fitted to the BLM, then go to
Section 3.3
