Lift the PowerSquare main deck.
See “Lift the PowerSquare Main
Deck” on page 25.

Remove the wire-holder from the
stitch head.
• Move the wire-holder retaining
spring to the right. See
Figure 23 on page 49.
• Remove the wire-holder.
If the wire-holder is held in posi-
tion, use a screw driver to help the
removal of the wire-holder from
the stitch head.

Inspect the area behind the wire-
holder for pieces of stitch-wire.

Remove any stitches or pieces of
stitch-wire and clean the area with
the air-duster.
Use the wire-cutters to remove
any jammed stitches or pieces of
stitch-wire.

Lubricate the stitch-head.
See “Lubricate the Stitch Head” on
page 60.

Fit the wire-holder.
Remember to put the wire-holder
retaining spring in position.

Close the PowerSquare.

Start the PowerSquare.
If the head operates normally and
returns to the parked position, then
further action is not needed.
If the stitch head remains jammed,
then repeat the procedure one
time.
If the problem continues, then con-
tact your Watkiss service engineer.
