Gauge wheels are equipped with two different methods to adjust the depth of the gauge wheels. The
first is to use the
ratchet jack
. To do this, loosen the
jam nut
with a combination wrench ( 1 ¾”).
Then, turn the
ratchet jack
to either lengthen or shorten the
ratchet jack
. Then, re-tighten the jam
nut.
The second method of adjustment is to change the lower position of the
ratchet jack
. The
ratchet
jack’s
standard location is in the center of the 3
Adjustment Holes
on the lower arm and is the
recommended setting for the Level Bander.
The gauge wheels are designed to help the tractor carry the machine through the field and hold proper
depth.
