Definition of the Unit Value
When two-channel use of the analog inputs is set, two logical input values are
formed from the two physical input measurement values. These input values are
referred to as unit value 1 and unit value 2 and mapped in the input process
image.
Since only one process value is relevant for a channel pair, you can set whether
the smaller or larger input measured value is used as unit value 1.
•
Min.
: This setting is used to define the smaller of the two input values as a
process value, which is transferred as a so-called unit value 1 to the input
process image.
•
Max.
: This setting is used to define the larger of the two input values as a
process value, which is transferred as a so-called unit value 1 to the input
process image.
The positions of the unit values are described in Sect
ion “Process Image”.
The unit value 1 is used to calculate the tolerance window for two-channel use,
see Section “Tolerance Window for Two-Channel Evaluation”.
The settings are made via the “
Unit Value
” parameter, which is described in
Section “Commissioning” > … > “Setting Parameters”.
The following parameters must also be set:
•
