4.3.9.1 Default Format
With the setting “Ni1000 (TK5000)”, the I/O module converts the measured
resistance values of Ni1000 sensors (TK5000) into temperature values and outputs
the conversion results in degrees Celsius.
The temperature values are displayed at a resolution of 1 digit per 0.1 °C in one
word (16-bit). Temperature values below 0 °C are represented in two's
complement binary. As a result, 0 °C corresponds to the numeric value 0x0000
and 100 °C to the numeric value 0x03E8 (dec. 1000). The maximum number
range viewable in one word in two's complement representation ranges from
−32768 to +32767. The number range used depends on the sensor type set and the
resolution of the process value. For the setting “Ni1000 (TK5000)”, the possible
numerical range corresponds to the defined temperature range
of −60 °C to +250
°C and ranges from −600 to +2500 accordingly.
