Intended use
The cameras CAM33C (item no. RV-33-TCFM), CAM33C1 (item no.
RV-33-TCFMS), CAM33C2 (item no. RV-33-TCFM-KIT) and CAM33C3
(item-no. RV-33-TCFMS-KIT) are designed mainly for use in vehicles. They
can be used in rear view video systems to observe the space behind the ve-
hicle from the driver's seat when manoeuvring or parking, for example.
a
Caution!
Since rear view systems are designed merely as an additional aid
for reversing, they do
not
relieve you of the duty to take proper
care when reversing
.

Technical description
The camera with integrated microphone, which is encased in an aluminium
housing, transmits image and sound to a monitor via a cable. It has a close-
up lens and a long-distance lens.
The long-distance lens shows the space behind the vehicle as if you were
looking through a rear window. You can switch it on when you are not
reversing.
The close-up lens (reversing camera) is a wide-angle lens, which shows the
area directly behind the vehicle. It is activated when you engage reverse
gear.
Cameras
CAM33C1
and
CAM33C3
are equipped with a motorised cover for
protection against dirt.
I
Note
The cameras were equipped with a reverse display at the factory.
Any monitor that is connected therefore needs a normal picture
function.
I
Note
If you connect a monitor that itself has a mirror function, use the
CAM33C
or
CAM33C2
camera.
If you want to use the mirror function on a monitor that does not
support it, you must use the the
CAM33C1
or
CAM33C3
camera.
