For interior corners, such as a bookshelf or the inside of a cupboard, point the gun
toward the center of the corner to spray the paint. Choosing this spray pattern will
ensure that the edges on both sides are evenly painted.
Spraying in a uniform pattern of alternating right-to-left and then left-to-right motion
gives a professional finish. (See photo on the right). One way to do this is to aim
the spray tip at the edge of the last applied strip before turning on the gun.
2. Verify that the nozzle, gasket, and guard
are assembled in the order shown.
When taking a short break from painting (up to 1 hour), lock the gun trigger, reduce the
pressure to minimum (zero) and set the spray valve to the overflow position. Turn off the generator
and remove the plug from the socket. See Pressure Relief Procedure.
The correct speed of moving the gun will allow a full, wet coat to be
applied without sagging. Applying each stroke 40% higher than the previous one
will ensure that the right amount of paint is applied.
1. Engage trigger lock.
The spray gun should be turned off at the end of each stroke and turned on again at the beginning
of the next. This prevents sagging, reduces paint consumption, and ensures a better-looking job. (See
photo below)
In most cases, the best spray distance is approximately (25-30 cm) between the spray tip and the
surface.
