Test seam
After all threads have been threaded, pull the
ends of the threads to the back under the
presser foot.
Use a leftover piece of fabric to check that the
stitch pattern is correct.
• Place the fabric under the presser foot.
• Lower the presser foot.
• Turn the hand wheel and check that the
threads are chained.
• SLOWLY start sewing.
• Guide the fabric only slightly; the fabric is
fed automatically.
Continuous sewing
If several pieces of fabric are to be overlocked
with the same seam, save time and thread by
sewing a thread chain with a length of approx.
5 cm and attaching the next piece of fabric.
The presser foot does not need to be lifted
with normal fabrics. With thicker fabrics, lift the
presser foot and slide the material until shortly
before the upper knife. Lower the presser foot
and continue sewing.
End of a seam
At the end of a seam, continue sewing
SLOWLY and slightly pull the thread chain
until it is approx. 12 cm long.
Separate the thread chain on the thread cutter
so that 2 cm of the thread chain remain at the
end of the fabric.
