2.5 General Product Safety
Use and handle the simulator only in accordance with the instructions and informa-
tion in the provided guides. Any other use can lead to personal injury, material dam-
age or damage to the simulator. Only use the simulator if all components are in a
faultless condition.
Assembly, commissioning, maintenance and operation may only be carried out by
personnel who have read and understood this manual.
2.6 Transport and Unpacking
The shipping boxes are heavy. Trying to move or to lift the shipping boxes on your
own could cause injury or damage to the simulator. The shipping boxes should be
carried by two people only.
After transport, do not throw away the original packaging (shipping boxes and pack-
aging material). The original packaging is the safest way to transport the simulator.
After unpacking everything, place all packing materials back into their respective
transport boxes for future use.
2.7 Installation Location and Ventilation
The simulator is designed for indoor use only. Select a setup location that complies
with the ambient conditions specified in the technical data. Make sure that the simu-
lator is not exposed to extreme temperatures or humidity. Never set up and operate
the simulator close to highly inflammable gases.
The simulator PC generates heat during operation. Overheating can cause tempo-
rary malfunction or permanent damage to the simulator. To avoid overheating:
• Make sure that the operating environment is well ventilated.
• Do not block the air vents of the simulator PC.
• Do not allow dust to build up on the air vents.
• Set up the simulator PC at least 10 cm (4”) away from walls or other objects
which may block ventilation.
• Do not place the simulator PC on a carpet or rug with long fibers.
• Do not place the simulator PC in a narrow or cramped space.
